Asynchronous Activities

Due:
Initial Post Due 6/12, Contact Director (Peer 1)/Peer Synthesis (Peers 2, & 3) Due 6/16

Peer Rotation C
  • Task 3:
    Peer 1
Initial Post: As a team analyze the questions for the Director of Online Programs that was shared by course participants in Week 2 Task 3. Identify themes in the questions, prioritize them, nail them down to 3 to 5 themes as a group. Each theme may contain 3 to 5 sub-questions. In this process, if there are questions that you are able to find answers by examining UT related public documents take note of them. You are expected to engage in active discussion with your peers during this Initial Post phase.

Peer 1 Contact Director: Send your 3 to 5 themes and sub-questions associated with them to the Director of Online Programs, arrange a time to talk on the phone, Blackboard Collaborate, or exchange emails. Post a team summary of your findings that include what you found from both document search and interviews in your designated forum by the Contact Director due date. Your team will present this information during the Week 5 synchronous session as part of Report to the Director of Online Programs. Your team will have 20 minutes to regroup and finalize what you will present during the synchronous session

    Peer 2 Initial Post:
Individually review the accessibility policies and services at Open University and Blackboard Learn. Start by a Google (or any other search engine) search about both topics. Share your findings with your peers in the designated discussion forum as your initial post. Reflect on how their policies and services is mindful of UX if at all.

Peer 3 Initial Post: Individually review training materials available on Lynda.com related to accessibility and online learning. You do not have to watch hours and hours of training materials, but review them so you learn what is available for online learning environment designers and developers. Reflect on how the training topics is mindful of UX if at all.

Peer 2, and 3 Peer Synthesis: Engage in discussion to synthesize what all of you discovered in the designated forum. Post a team summary of your findings by the Peer Synthesis due date. This may require your team to work together outside of the discussion forum. Each team will present this information during the Week 5 synchronous session as part of the Report to the Director of Online Programs. Your team will have 20 minutes to regroup and finalize what you will present during the synchronous session.
